Digital Aachen Region

Progressive digitization is increasingly affecting all areas of life and presents major challenges for companies in particular. It offers numerous opportunities from Industry 4.0, the intelligent networking of production, logistics and customers and the associated digitalization of whole business models.

AGIT supports the digitization process in the Aachen region. To this end, we cooperate with regional initiatives and experts:

IT security experts Jens Liebchen and Prof. Dr. Marko Schuba on the subject of cyber security

The current hacker attacks on politicians and celebrities show us once again the importance of the topic of cyber security. But not only politicians and celebrities are affected, but also founders and entrepreneurs can become victims of targeted or undirected cyber attacks.

We spoke with the IT security experts Jens Liebchen (RedTeam Pentesting GmbH) and Prof. Dr. Marko Schuba (Department of Data Networks, IT Security and IT Forensics at Aachen University of Applied Sciences) about this topic:

digitalHUB Aachen e. V.

The digitalHUB Aachen e. V. as a regional platform, unites digital users from industry and business (user), start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (enabler) as well as region and science (supporter) to work together to complement and develop digital business models.

As a user and supporter, AGIT is a member of the HUB and actively supports the work of the association within the framework of the focus group "Region Aachen". The focus group has set itself the target of shaping the transfer of the topics to the Aachen region and thus to promote the regional digitization process.

The FH Aachen FabBus

As a rolling training center, the FabBus of the FH Aachen offers the opportunity to get to know the advantages of 3D printing directly on the spot. On two floors, the FabBus has a total of eight workstations and eleven 3D printers, making the technology of additive manufacturing directly experienceable.
Together with various municipal and regional business support organizations we offer events to make 3D printing technology a reality for companies.

The project is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The ERDF funds are co-financed by the federal government, by state governments, by local government authorities and other public institutions, as well as private investors.
The FabBus of the FH Aachen is funded through the NRW Objective 2 Program (EFRE).
