This year, the 8th edition of the most important Life Sciences Summit in Northern Europe is taking place on 17th and 18th June 2014. More than 1,000 visitors and 80 exhibitors from the worlds of science and business are expected.
What’s new this year?
“Business meets science here,” is the slogan for Biomedica 2014. This year the focus is valorization on the commercial aspects, unlike in previous years. There is a large demand from regional companies for innovation from the Life Sciences field, which can be brought successfully to market. At the same time, scientists are interested to see how their research findings can be implemented into practice. Product development and clinical validation is an important focus of Biomedica 2014. Biomedica 2014 is the right place for business and scientists to meet and expand networks, exchange ideas in order to initiate new product developments, concepts and collaborative partnerships.
Three main topics
More than 50 lectures will be presented on 17th and 18th June in Maastricht. These include reports on clinical validation & applied / translational research from university hospitals & scientific institutions, from research and development and from businesses in the fields of diagnostics, biomaterials, medical devices & instruments. The main themes are “My bones, my brain, my heart“. The organisers of Biomedica 2014 are constantly on the lookout for new themes which are currently relevant in this sector.
