Small and medium enterprises, start-ups and entrepreneurs of the energy and ICT sector will receive information about the funding and business opportunities of phase three of the European Commission’s “Future Internet – Private Public Partnership” programme.
The European Commission provides generic European standard internet components (www.fi-ware.org) and funds its utilisation with 80 Mio Euro for small and medium-sized enterprises.
One of the main goals of FINESCE (Future INternet Smart Utility ServiCEs) is to team up the energy and the ICT sector because solutions based on Future Internet technology will become more and more important. Decentralized renewable energy sources and electric mobility have to be integrated into the electricity system, prosumers increase in number and cities start to get ‘smarter’. This is a great challenge – and a great opportunity for innovative ICT companies
FINESCE trial sites in seven European countries are hosting Open Days to present first project results and to inform you about the opportunities for SMEs, help you to expand your business network and to develop new business ideas. The next Open Day will be at our FINESCE trial site in Aachen on June 12th, 2014:
You will get informed how the European Commission fosters ICT innovation within the Future Internet – Private Public Partnership Programme (FI-PPP) of the European Commission. The focus here will be on the funding and business opportunities in the upcoming phase three of the programme.
You will hear about coaching and funding available to SMEs from the accelerator projects starting this summer.
Expand your business network! You are an innovative small or medium-sized company developing IT solutions for the emerging energy sector? FINESCE can support you in developing new ideas and business concepts for applications and services and connect you with possible partners to bring these ideas into reality.
Last but not least, you will learn about the FINESCE project and visit the FINESCE trial site in Aachen: a smart factory, based on Future Internet technologies, which will produce electronic vehicles.
FINESCE is a project in the framework of the EU Future Internet Public Private funded in the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union. At seven trial sites spread over Europe, the project demonstrates that Smart Energy features can be implemented in a more efficient way with FI-WARE (www.fi-ware.org) standard internet components.
