The AC² Innovation Award Winner 2019 is cognesys Gmbh from Aachen! Cognesys GmbH received the innovation award for its technology, which automatically captures, understands and processes voice and font information.
The cognesys GmbH from Aachen is a spin-off of the RWTH. The cognesys software analyses unstructured free texts such as e-mails, chats, blogs, social media and surveys. The aim is to automatically deal with customer requests in the first contact. The software is used by large service providers from a wide range of industries (telecommunications, transport, energy, insurance, health insurance, publishing, travel, logistics). What is special about cognesys semantic technology is that it does not search for keywords, but also takes into account the context and meaning of what is said or written. The process is patented in the EU and the USA. For its innovative strength, cognesys GmbH has already been awarded the TOP 100 INNOVATOR 2018 of the German middle class.
The company was honoured with a laudatory speech by Lord Mayor Marcel Philipp. He then presented the Innovation Award sculpture to Dr. Bernd Schönebeck, Managing Director and shareholder of cognesys GmbH.
"The AC² Innovation Award is a strong sign for and beyond the Aachen region. The award focuses on companies that play a key role in the implementation of innovations. The cognesys GmbH holds this key role with its patented semantic technology for speech and word processing for speech understanding and was today awarded the AC²-Innovationspreis Region Aachen", says Lord Mayor Marcel Philipp.
In addition to cognesys GmbH, there were the following candidates for this year's AC² Innovation Award: CL.RICK Produktionsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG from Schleiden, Dialego AG from Aachen, LUNOVU GmbH from Herzogenrath and PL BioScience GmbH from Aachen.
